Not too much happening for me in the art department these days, I've got about twenty projects half finished and I've been slacking bad on getting photographs, and, as usual, on prepping things to be uploaded - or in the case of most of my gallery, re-uploaded. Hopefully I will get out of this funk soon, it's not as if I'm doing so much that I have no time, just no drive. My stock account is suffering from neglect as well. I'm afraid to sign in and have to deal with all the messages and deviations that I haven't gone through in months... Oh dear...

The rats are doing pretty well. We went to see the vet for Silas's sneezing but the antibiotics are clearing it up and hopefully that will be taken care of soon. Both otherwise got a clean bill of health and were general uncooperative and amusing. They apparently see very few young rats in the office, the tech who weighed them said she mostly sees big lazy adults that just want to lounge around, and the vet said she mostly sees the oldies who are on their way out. My crazy little babies must have been a nice change of pace.

I hope to get some decent picture of them that don't include glowing eyes, but until then, you guys will have to wait because I probably won't be uploading any red-eye pictures to DA. Fairfax has been interesting to watch as he is doing something of a color change. He is changing from a little random khaki colored baby among albinos to a Siamese. I never expected that when I pulled him out of the shipping box and informed all my co-workers that they were NOT allowed to sell him until I talked to my parents about my purchasing him. Still can't believe that they agreed to that. The next step of course is to convince them that I should have another one or two, especially if I am able to get the cage I want to put my boys in. (I want it for them, the fact that more than two rats could live inside it is just an extremely lucky happenstance.)

Finally getting back into rock climbing. It's been way too long and I'm quite weak, luckily I've been doing enough lifting at work that I was still able to haul my butt up a hard 5.7/easy 5.8. That was actually better than I expected.

Work is work, sometimes it's fun, sometimes it sucks, but my co-workers are for the most part a pleasant bunch. I went bowling with a couple of them and their friends last weekend, and will probably be rock-climbing with one of those two as well. I kind of miss the closing shift, though. They've had me on opening and mid-shift, I'd like to close more. It tends to be more interesting...
